Transit camps are were Jews were imprisoned before being sent to a concentration camp or being deported to one of the six extermination camps in Poland. What happened in here was mostly trading, although they did have to work also. "Exchange Jews" were Jews that were not going to be deported due to their citizenship in British or America. They were called "exchange Jews" because the Nazis would attempt to trade each one for 5-10 Germans, especially military prisoners of war, but no exchanges ever happened.

Westerbork

Westerbork was a transit station that was located in the North Eastern part of the Netherlands. Originally set up in October 1939 by the Dutch government. It was a place to hold German Jews who had entered the Netherlands illegally because they were fleeing Germany because of Nazi deaths.
